Paula.
The second Sullivan to leave us this year. An incredibly vivacious, charming woman. She was smart, opinionated, funny and unique- as are all the members of this special clan, to which I am honored to be close.
I cannot believe she too, has left us.
Anatole, Amy and Peter, I haven't the words. I wish I did.
Well I picked a rose and it poked through my clothes
I followed that winding stream
I heard the deafening noise, I felt transient joys
I know they are not what they seem...

She leaves a hole in my - and so many other - hearts.
ReplyDeleteNFS- I love the Shoffstall quote you put on your memorial post. It applies to my own life right now and it's fitting I discover through a connection to Paula.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could attend the memorial and meet some of her friends whose lives have been touched by her and will miss her beyond words.
Sunday's memorial was a beautiful tribute to Paula. The number of people there, the outpouring of love and the recounting of so many wonderful moments were all testimony to how Paula, with her universal spirit and joie de vie, impacted so many lives. No doubt with the angels now we can be confident that she will indeed rest in peace.
